Watching how professionals clean Oriental rugs on YouTube is both an eye-opener and a horror story, but it gave me the idea I could do it myself. And having seen the cost of hiring a machine and the carpet shampoo, I was more than willing to have a go on hands and knees.

I think dragging a rug through snow is fine for those countries which have it, but is it ever deep enough and *clean* enough in the UK?? And how would it be dried in damp, winter, UK? I think I’ll stick to working during summer — LOL. Thanks for calling by, Madeleine.
