LOL! I don't know about being a role model. This one has a 'bullet' shuttle, which takes some getting used to. I can see why Singer, and other makes, moved to a round bobbin.
Be warned: Bruce Coulter is right about the weight! Mine has strong handles on either side of its "coffin" lid.
